As discussed at our Member Meeting in January, I wish to re-establish the Neighborhood Forums that Mary Beth Huffman began in 2017. The initial 2021 Neighborhood Forum was held in March and the second Forum is scheduled for Saturday, July 10th at 10:00 am at the Community Center. Although not mandatory, please RSVP if you plan to attend ( email@example.com ).
The idea of the Neighborhood Forum is to pull together a diverse group of members…..lakefront, off the lake, younger, older, full-timers, weekenders, etc to share ideas and thoughts about where we are as a neighborhood and how to move our Indian Lake community forward. There is no particular set time length for each Neighborhood Forum, but I will book the Community Hall for 2 hours for our convenience. The atmosphere for each Forum will be casual with a “led by the members” format with me and possibly other board members present to listen, answer questions, take notes, and bring the conversation and ideas back to the board. As such, the Neighborhood Forums will seek spontaneous conversation. They will not have set agendas beyond opening and closing.
Although summer has only just begun, it is not too early for ILPOA members to consider running for a 2021/22 ILPOA Board position of to join one of the Board’s numerous committees as a member at large. Please give me or any other Board Member a call or email if you would like to discuss.
Bob Dixon, ILPOA President
