THANK YOU AGAIN to the 310 volunteer members who made donations to our program! One of the “bad” ingredients that flows into our lake is from our leaking septic tanks. Our consultant, Dr JJ said at the end of her report from Sept 18: “As time advances, it will become very important for individual lakefront owners to avoid the use of all lawn fertilizers and properly pump and care for septic tanks and drain fields. The continued reduction of nutrients to the lake will allow the LFA system to continue to deliver positive results over time, which will enhance the water quality of Indian Lake over time and provide a continued, worthwhile investment.” Our contractor has an innovative product that will improve our septic systems and thereby help with our lake preservation project. And as a continued reminder, LAKE PRESERVATION is dependent on those who made pledges in 2021 to complete them asap.
