HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This fall we had a rule addition that will help us in collecting fees owed to us, as well as going after other infractions. Previously, we’ve been hesitant to go after fees owed to us, because it could cost us more to collect than what we were owed. Thus, we would wait for a few years until filing suit. Review the new rule that says the offending party will be responsible for the Association’s fees if the Association is successful in our suit against the member. This new rule will enable us to go after delinquent fees earlier as we can collect our legal fees from the member. This also will allow us to be much more aggressive in going after blatant nuisance properties and other by-laws/rule infractions such as members who repeatedly have dogs off leashes.
The bridge construction has been going very well. Although the water is not as low as needed, Wayne Brenneke has been working through it and moving forward. We are hoping for decent weather, less than normal precipitation for the next few weeks.
You may have noticed that we have a new Security Guard. Welcome to Bob Emling, (another Bob!) who is a member here at Indian Hills. He’s learning the ropes and getting involved. We are always looking for security employees. Some of the requirements: Roving patrol must be in the subdivision, or very close to responding expeditiously, must have a legal driver’s license, a drug test is required, and any members must be in good standing. The candidate must thoroughly understand our by-laws and rules and be able to enforce them. If you are interested, please fill out an application at the office.
