As previously communicated the Election Supervisors picked up the ballots from Cuba Post Office on Wednesday (11/18) at 9 a.m. to complete the ballot counting on Wednesday and Thursday (11/19).

On Thursday, November 19^th while the Election Committee was completing the day 2 counts the Election Committee was informed there were additional ballots at the post office.  After the counts were finished the Election Supervisor went back to the Cuba Post Office to inquire about the additional ballots and returned with the ballots which were locked and secured at the ILPOA Office.  There were 83 ballots with 95% of the ballots postmarked in October which indicated they were some of the earliest ballots mailed by some of our members.

The Election Committee discussed the situation and recommended these ballots be counted and the Board agreed with the recommendation.  The additional ballots will be counted on Monday (11/23) due to the availability of our Election Supervisors and volunteers.  After we have the final totals on Monday from the three counting days we will send out the results via email, post on the ILPOA website (www.ilpoa.org), and link to the ILPOA website on Nextdoor and the Indian Lake Cuba Mo Facebook page.
