As discussed at our Member Meeting in January, I wish to re-establish the Neighborhood Forums that Mary Beth Huffman began in 2017. To that purpose, I wish to invite the first 40 members at large who RSVP for our first 2021 Neighborhood Forum in the Community Center on March 27th, beginning at 10:00 am.  Additional dates for additional Forums will be forthcoming. Should Covid regulations change, I will consider an enlargement of the allowable attendance.

The idea of the Neighborhood Forum is to pull together a diverse group of members…..lakefront, off the lake, younger, older, full-timers, weekenders, etc to share ideas and thoughts about where we are as a neighborhood and how to move our Indian Lake community forward.  There is no particular set time length for each Neighborhood Forum, but for our convenience, I will book the Community Hall for 2 hours. The atmosphere for each Forum will be casual with a “led by the members” format with me and possibly other board members present to listen, answer questions, take notes, and bring the conversation and ideas back to the board.  As such, the Neighborhood Forums will seek spontaneous conversation.  They will not have set agendas beyond opening and closing.

Please consider attending one or more of the Forums. Who knows what kind of ideas we may stumble upon that could be of huge benefit to our community. RSVPs should be directed to me at bod.rdixon@ilpoa.org.  As a new Board Member and President, I look forward to meeting all of you.
