ILPOA Annual Meeting
September 11, 2022ILPOA Upgrading Member Gate Access Cards
September 15, 2022Neighborhood Watch Meeting Update
* Called to order at 5:00 pm on 9/12/22 in the community center with attendees L Oswald, B Thom, M Schramm, J Koyn, G Weber, D DuBois, D Dolen, J Rohal, D Bare & R Dixon.
* Approved minutes from previous meeting.
* R Dixon and D Dolen reported on 9/12/22 meeting with Crawford Electric about potential experimentation with surveillance and increased lighting at a few CCSD suggested Indian Hill locations. R Dixon to meet with Lt Brooks to define those few key spots and to determine if transformer / meter accessibility could accommodate. R Dixon and D Dolen to meet again with Crawford Electric once the said information is obtained. If the experiment seems feasible at gratis cost, the Neighborhood Watch will make a request of the ILPOA Board for execution.
* Lt Brooks was not able to attend but did provide his 30 day call report for Indian Hills ( see below ). We ask that he break up the Lakeshore Drive data points into smaller buckets ( at least east, west, north and south ). With Lakeshore Dr broken out as requested ( or in similar fashion ), call reports from the last 12 months would be welcomed as would the call reports going forward.
* It was decided that ILPOA Board Members not be Block Captains. Nevertheless, the hope is that such Indian Hills Members would remain supportive of the NW Program and participate in the program at least within their “own block.”
* L Oswald is joining J Rohal, J Koyn and M Schramm in the Block Captain recruiting effort as outlined in previous meetings. The recruiting narrative needs to emphasis our desire to make our community more crime resistant. Considerations for increased compliance to community rules and regulations are secondary.
* We need to ask Lt Brooks how he might engage with our community Facebook and Next Door social media pages, or how we should follow on postings that are of interest to our NW Program.
* R Dixon to re-post an open invitation to join our NW Program and to give good dates for electronic signage regarding future NW Meetings.
* We wish to start making our meetings available via Zoom. We believe that this will increase meeting attendance and with that, increase volunteerism. J Rohal to set up the Zoom meetings and send necessary invites.
* Next meeting will be on 9/28/22 at 5:00 pm.
* With no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:30 pm.
Please Note: The Indian Hills Neighborhood Watch Program is an independent volunteer group that is not selected, appointed, confirmed or controlled by the ILPOA.
