Important Ballot Clarification

It has come to the Board’s attention that there is some confusion amongst Members in the community regarding Ballot Item Number One – Establishment of a Special Assessment for “Road Repair and Construction Fund”

If the Roads Assessment passes, the assessment language and the process to collect will work in the same manner as the bridge construction assessment. When ballots are sent out for voting, there is one ballot per Member regardless of the number of persons that are included on a deed. As a result, there is one assessment payment.

ILPOA has  ~1,000 Members who own the ~1,800 lots in the community.  The road assessment is designed and written to collect $400k per year ($400 x 1,000 members) over 5 years.

If you have any questions regarding the ballot or any other matter involving the community, please email IndianLake@ilpoa.org and a board member will be in touch to address any questions or concerns you may have.
