The Lake Restoration and ILPOA Board is pleased to share that the Boat Sticker Increase Proposal to fund Lake Restoration efforts has passed. The following is an outline of the vote totals:

• Void ballots: 1
• Total valid ballots: 495
• Yes: 355
• No: 140
• Yes %: 71.7%
• Result: PASS

The increase in boat sticker fees will be restricted for lake purposes only, and we can continue with Year 4 and 5 restoration efforts without interruption.

As has been shared by Lake Restoration, the Booster, Mens, and Ladies Clubs, and the Board, the Lake Restoration project is vital to the long-term health of our lake which is the heart of our community.  We are only in Year 3 of the Lake Restoration effort, and the quality of our lake has already begun to vastly improve. Thank you to all our volunteers who have made Lake Restoration a priority and pushed this effort forward, thank you for the support of our generous donors who lifted the project off the ground, and thank you to all who have given their time and resources to this recent funding initiative.

Finally, thanks to Marsha Schramm for once again doing an exceptional job leading the voting process, as well as Jackie & Walt Koyn, Ronda Emmons, Lou Oswald , Linda Boos, Barb Seerey,  Jeanette Pitman, Norma McGirk, Linda Patton and Jean Rohal for their assistance in stamping, stuffing, mailing, verifying, counting (then counting again) all the ballots.
