Understanding ILPOA Rules & Regulations

Animal Control

Our Indian Lake Property Owner Association Animal Control Rules are very straight forward.  Quoting Section 11-A-1:

“No member owning or harboring a dog or cat within Indian Hills Subdivision will allow such animal to run at large.  For the purpose of this rule, the term “at large” is defined as off the premises of the owner, when not under the control by leash of the owner or a person over the age of twelve (12) years.  If it is necessary to capture and impound the animal described above the a Member will be responsible for all accrued charges.”

Member complaints regarding non-compliance to the above ILPOA Rule is one of the most frequent complaints registered with the Office and or Board. Citations and fines have been and will continue to be issued for non-compliant owners.

Indian Lake Property Owner Association Rules such as 11-A-1 are rules voted into place by members in good standing.  Once a year the Board asks its membership for proposed changes to our Rules & Regulations.  If this is an ILPOA Rule that you take issue with, please follow the process for potential change. Until such a proposal is made and successfully changed by a vote of the membership, the ILPOA will politely and respectfully seek compliance.
