Where we can, we work in conjunction with the Ladies Auxiliary and the Booster Club, and they are with us. We meet on the first Saturday of each month at 9am in the community center. We are meeting on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024. We also sponsor the Wednesday evening get-together for food and fellowship, starting at 4pm. Men of the group volunteer to prepare the dinner and we charge $10, which pays for the food with the balance going to the Men’s Club. It’s BYOB of choice. We had successful Pancake Breakfasts this summer because of your support. Thank you If you have any questions, please feel free to call or text me at 636-295-5039 or email me at jim.burli@gmail.com Security The roving patrol number is 573-259-3700, he does not get good reception. If needed asap, please call 573-317-6086 Care Starting next month, the ILPOA Care (Compliance and Rules Enforcement) will submit a “Know the Rules” article. Care is convinced that the vast majority of observed non-compliant activities would not occur if our members and their guests knew the ILPOA rules and regulations. This opinion is supported by the fact that most first time ILPOA citations (which act as both a warning and explanation of the rule or regulation violation) unwanted behavior is not repeated. Maintenance Department Road repair has taken up most of our time this month. The guys are making great progress. We’ve had to do some repairs on the dump truck and put tires on the rad truck. A new brush mower to mow behind the dam has been purchased. We will get too that later this fall, the mower will also be of great use mowing shoulders and ditches. Reminder to everyone that around November 1st we will be taking the top boards out of the valve box to lower the lake for the winter, we will NOT be lowering the 4’ that previously was done in the election years. Communication Blast emails are going to continue, and this is our second smoke signal. Office As a reminder, Fall/Winter office hours are now in effect. The office is open Monday through Friday, from 10am to 4pm. Ballots printed, stuffed and mailed. On November 1st, the outside bathrooms at the community center hall will be shut down for the winter. Legal Started process of placing a lien on member’s property for significant past due accounts. Issued eight letters for significant past dues accounts. Building Permits 42 permits have been issued this year so far. Fees collected on these permits is $16,750.00 IT Made another round of changes to the new website in preparation for the final cutover. Awaiting feedback from premier Sponsor logos. Will be switching from the current ILPOA.ORG provider to a different provider, which is scheduled for late October, early November. Thank you to all the clubs for all the activities and all the members that have helped make the events fun and successful! |
