Upcoming ILPOA Dock Lottery

Our annual ILPOA Lease Dock Lottery is scheduled for March 13th at 9 a.m. at the Community Center.  I wanted to provide you with some key highlights regarding this year’s lottery but remind everyone that all the documents you need are located on the ILPOA Website at https://ilpoa.org/documents/

Who can participate?  Anyone who is a Member in Good Standing at the time of the lottery can participate.  This means you must have paid your annual dues, assessments, or any outstanding charges owed to ILPOA.

Is there anything new this year with the dock lottery? In the last annual election, the members voted to allow ILPOA to lease up to 75% of the available docks.  As a result, we have additional lease docks that have been added to the inventory.  You must look at the ILPOA Dock Layout located on the ILPOA Website (https://ilpoa.org/documents/). to see where we’ve added additional lease docks.

How much does it cost to lease an ILPOA dock?  There is no change to the price of the dock for 2021.  The cost is $400.

How do I participate?  Your application and $400 check must be received at the ILPOA Office by Thursday, March 11th.  Remember, all checks received will be deposited in our bank account upon receipt.

What if I miss the cut-off date?  Applicants that miss the cut-off will make their selections after the lottery drawing is completed, then we will take the applicants in the order they were received.

What if the office is closed and I want to drop off my application and check?  You can always place the application and check in an envelope and place it in our dropbox by office door on the exit road side.

Where do I learn more about the lottery?:  All of the documents you need to review are located on the ILPOA Website at https://ilpoa.org/documents/ or you can email (indianlake@ilpoa.org), call (573-885-3630) the ILPOA Office or stop by ILPOA Office during office hours (https://ilpoa.org/calendar/).

Do I have to be there to participate?  No, as long as you’ve submitted your application and included your check by the cutoff we will use your dock choices in priority order when your number is selected in the lottery drawing.

What if I have additional questions regarding this year’s dock lottery?  You can email (indianlake@ilpoa.org) or call (573-885-3630) the ILPOA Office and Michelle will try and help you get your questions answered.

If weather permits we will try and have the Dock Lottery on the back patio of the Community Center.  If we do, please bring your lawn chair and social distance between your neighbors.  If the weather does not cooperate then we will go inside the Community Center but will only have seating available for the first 50 people.
