Understanding ILPOA Rules & Regulations

In an effort to educate our members on ILPOAs Rules & Regulations we are creating a monthly article where we highlight specific Rules & Regulations that we get questions about or people indicated they were not aware of. These articles are part of the focus areas with our ILPOA Security Committee. Members of the Security Committee are: Bob Dixon, Don Kalista, Jean Rohal, and Doug Bare.

Number of Watercraft/Length Limits & Boat Registration

We frequently receive questions regarding the following that is addressed by this month’s article:

  • How many watercraft can I have?
  • What is the maximum length of watercraft by type (i.e. runabout, pontoon, fishing boat, PWC, etc.)?
  • How do I register my watercraft, do I need stickers, etc.?
  • How does ILPOA enforce our Rules & Regulations?

NUMBER OF WATERCRAFT and LENGTH LIMITS

  • Each Member together with co-owners, if any, shall be allowed to register a maximum of combined total of three (3) motor driven water craft subject to the choices listed below: 1. • 5. Personal watercraft (Jet Ski, Sea Doo, Wave Runner, etc. regardless of specific brand name) are all considered to be BOATS by Missouri State Statutes and the Missouri State Water Patrol. They are subject to the same rules (Section 3, Lake Rules) as any other watercraft.
