Lake Posting Detail  (Go Back) Lake Restoration Update The Lake Restoration Committee met with Dr.  Rebecca North from the University of Missouri on Friday August 22nd. Various topics were discussed including our current testing protocols and plans for analyzing our lake further this winter as her team works to understand drivers of the conditions we have suffered from this season and how to best move forward. Some may feel that not enough is being done, but the truth is quite the opposite. The Lake Restoration Committee and dedicated volunteers have been working closely with expertslimnologists and specialists from across the stateto understand what has happened, why it happened, and what we can do both in the near term and for the long-term health of our lake. We are committed to thoughtful, well-planned solutionsnot rushed efforts that might provide temporary relief but fail to address the root causes. The decision to use or not use the lake remains the decision of each individual. Our recommendation remains that you should stay out of the any areas with slimy or scummy surfaces.  "If in Doubt, Stay Out" We all know this has been a very difficult summer and we appreciate everyone's understanding as we continue to work with our expert partners to chart our path forward.
