Recently we’ve been contacted by our community regarding signs/flags some of which have foul language that is certainly not appropriate for our family-friendly community. As we begin to address these situations we wanted to make you aware of how our governing documents and Missouri statutes address these situations:
Therefore, let it be known that tasteful, non-vulgar political, patriotic, real estate, property identification and improvement, and approved neighborhood initiative signs, banners, and flags are approved exceptions to ILPOA Building and Use Restrictions ( BUR ) 5. . The identification of signage not included in the noted exceptions will be at The ILPOA Board of Director’s sole discretion.
To give our members adequated notification to ensure compliance, beginning 8/16 (Monday) ILPOA will address violations that do not meet these guidelines as outlined in our ILPOA Rules and Regulations by issuing citations and/or fines. If you have any questions about whether your signage/flags meet these guidelines you can send a picture and explanation in an email to the ILPOA Office at email@example.com and one of our Board members will follow up with you.
Thank you for your cooperation,
ILPOA Board of Directors
