Building Permits and Nuisance Properties

Sixty building permits in total were issued during 2021.  Starting April 1, 2021, the new Recovery Permit Fee was instituted along with the building permit process.  The non-refundable fees were established to help “recover” some of our costs to repair roads that are slowly damaged by construction project traffic.  A total of $10,750 was generated since April 1 and will be used exclusively for the Roads, Maintenance, and Equipment budget.

Your Board also intends to continue to pursue all legal actions that can be taken to help cure serious delinquent account receivables for dues and make continued efforts to clean up neglected properties.  Another effort will be a Spring community-wide clean-up effort.  As the Men’s Club typically does ditch clean-ups once a year, we would like to leverage all our clubs (Men’s, Ladies & Boosters) as well as Board members by providing roll-off dumpsters at the Community Center in late May for larger garbage and junk items.  Volunteers, pickup trucks, and word-of-mouth are needed.  Dates and details to follow.
